Below: After high school…
I’ve been artistic my whole life but never really thought I’d be able to pursue it as a career until pretty late into high school. I got more and more into photography and realized that a career in art was more realistic than I had thought. I applied to a number of art schools and got into my first choice, College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where I will be attending in the fall and majoring in advertising design. I’m excited to start studying subjects I’m actually interested in, and to meet other people into the same things that I am.

Below: After high school I will be attending Michigan State University in the Fall of 2016. There I plan to study and major in Special Education Teaching-Learning Disabilities. I’ve wanted to be a special education teacher my whole life and I am so excited to finally start making that happen. I also want to possibly write for the MSU paper and my dream would be to write reviews on local concerts and bands. But before all that, this summer I plan on going to many concerts, some big and some small. The ones I am most excited for are Twentyonepilots, Halsey, Brand New and Modest Mouse, Moose Blood, Blink 182 and of course, Warped Tour.

Below: I will be graduating from Plymouth High School this year, then spend my summer working under a professor at Concordia University’s language department in Minnesota as an intern. After that, I am set to attend Wayne State University in the fall with a major in communications and a double minor in Mandarin Chinese and either Arabic or Russian. After that I have no idea what I am going to do, but hopefully I will own a hot tub or some sort of jacuzzi.

Above: After this school year is over, I plan on having my jaw surgery in August. Due to that, the current plan is to take first semester of college off, and then likely head to Schoolcraft for a semester or a year and a half (to be decided), and then transfer somewhere, hopefully Wayne State, to study journalism of some kind.

Right: In the fall I will be attending Saginaw Valley State University as member of the women’s soccer team, in the position of a goalkeeper. I will be studying biology in order to reach my long term goal of becoming a physician assistant. I am very excited for what is to come in the future. If you believe you can achieve!

Above: In the fall, I will be studying at Michigan State. I plan to major in dietetics so that I can one day work as a dietician to help people with illnesses, special diets, or weight goals. While in college, I want to get my personal trainer certification so that I can train people both in the gym and do fitness and nutritional coaching online. I have a passion for weightlifting and I hope to compete in a show in the bikini division of bodybuilding. My ultimate dream is to be an athlete on a team like Gymshark or J Fitness Wear and to be a well-known vegan athlete so that I can spread awareness and show that anyone can be not only healthy, but also strong on a plant-based diet.

Below: After graduating from Plymouth High School, I plan to finish my academic career at Central Michigan University. I am interested in perusing a broadcast journalism education at CMU and look forward to learning more about broadcasting and its relationship with journalism. I am very excited for the future and can’t wait to not only leave the daily routine of high school in the past and follow a new path towards something I am very passionate about. Plymouth has prepared me to take my next big steps into the world of college and while I am busy making new memories at Central, I will never forget the ones I made here at P-CEP.

Above: After my senior year at the Park I plan on going to Central Michigan University. I hope to study copy editing not only at Central but to do it as my job. I learned to love reading the various stories from many different people and then critiquing them to help not only the readers but also to writers themselves.I really enjoyed my time at P-CEP, but unfortunately it was too short for my liking and I realized how much I loved coming here too late to truly appreciate it longer. People don’t seem to understand that after senior year that is you last safety net; from then on you’re on your own. All of your mistakes are your own to owe up to and I think I speak for everyone when I say that I will miss being able to goof off as often as I could do here.

Left: My name is Hamoudy Turfe and I am a senior at Canton. Next year I plan on attending the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I chose to go to UMD because it is close to my family and I am very familiar with the area. I have played basketball all four years of my high school career. With that being said, I am going to try and play for the UMD basketball team. As far as my studies are concerned, I am currently undecided on the major that I am going to pursue.

Below: I plan on attending Eastern Michigan University for my first year or two, then transferring to the University of Michigan. Currently, my major is marketing, at the school of business, but that may change to another business degree. I am super excited to live on campus with my roommates and even join a sorority. I have had previous opportunities to play volleyball at the college level, so maybe I will be a walk-on for the volleyball team or play at the club level.

Left: After four long years at Canton High School, my journey at Madonna University will begin in the fall. High school has been a great and important part of my life, but I’m ready to start fresh and begin my journey to the real world. At Madonna, I will be majoring in religious studies with a minor in philosophy. I hope to one day serve as a youth minister, which is a spiritual leader that guides teenagers on their journey to Christ. I’m thankful to all of my family, friends, and teachers that have helped me grow into the person I am today. Without their support, guidance, and love, I probably wouldn’t be graduating and I definitely wouldn’t be going to college. Peace out P-CEP, it’s been real.

Above: Next year I am going to Michigan State University to pursue a double major in Journalism and Advertising. My time on The Perspective has made me realize how much I love writing, web design, and any other form of communication. I may not know exactly where I want to go in terms of my life, but at least I have a direction. I do know that MSU is going to be an amazing experience. So to all you still left, keep having fun at P-CEP, but my time has come to an end. Adios amigos.

Below: In the fall I will be attending Syracuse University in up-state New York. I will be in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and currently am an undecided major, but I will likely decide to major in TV, Radio, and Film. I’m looking forward to having the college experience in a new part of the country. The campus and people of Syracuse are outstanding and learning everything about media from one of the best programs in the country is sure to be an amazing experience.

Above: After graduating I will be going to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo to study Japanese. I hope to either teach English to Japanese speakers or Japanese to English speakers, either one will do. I hope to continue working with my Rocky Horror Picture Show group for months to come and to keep in touch with everyone I truly value as a friend here at P-CEP. Four long years at P-CEP and I can finally and gladly say I am out of here. Thanks for the good times that made up for the bad times. It was sort of worth it.

Below: I dropped my third hour last semester to join Advanced Journalism to write for The Perspective and I can honestly say it was the best decision I’ve made this year. I love the opportunities that I’ve had and I value everything that I have learned from my classmates and Mrs. Gee. In fact, I loved this year so much, that I made the decision to stick around at P-CEP for next year! Just kidding. I’m a junior. I have no choice. But I’m looking forward to writing more and providing news and information for the staff and student body for next school year. See everyone then :)))))))

Above: I’ll be returning to The Perspective next year, and I’ll be rocking out my senior year. I will play my fourth and final season on the Salem Varsity Golf team. I will also serve on Salem Link Crew’s board as Vice President of Office Affairs. In addition, I will be joining the Park’s yearbook staff, helping to produce the hundredth edition of it. You’ll be able to find me around the Park, covering the everyday happenings and the out of the blue occurrences that take place on our campus. If I’m not at school, I’ll be at work, at the golf course or at home, filling out college apps.

Above: After a blissful summer of nature walks and iced tea, I will be attending the Residential College in the Arts & Humanities at Michigan State University. I will major with a B.A. in the Arts & Humanities and supplement that with a major in German. I hope that my degree does not leave me homeless, and would rather enjoy pursuing art administration or experiential design. I plan to join my family overseas by perhaps attending graduate school in Germany and eventually relocating to a nice apartment in Stuttgart, with a beautiful balcony garden and an equally beautiful German man.

Below: Class of 2016 our time is finally here. We’ve endured so much during our tenure these last 13 years such as the green sky tornado in kindergarten, the blizzard in 2006, middle school dance drama, and of course walking in rain, sleet, snow, and hail on the path at P-CEP.Although I don’t know what my future holds in terms of career choice, I do know and am proud to say that I’ll be attending Michigan State next year. Throughout the year, you’ve read some of my controversial opinion pieces like “Abortion is Murder” and “Syrian Refugees Not Welcome” as well as some of my lighter-hearted pieces such as “Why Cyber Monday is Better This Holiday Season” and my take on the conspiracy theory “The Moon Landing was a Hoax.” I enjoyed being able to write on whatever topic I wanted to because as we learned in Advanced Journalism, the First Amendment is our best friend and nobody can take away our free speech.

Left: I’m staying for another school year at Canton. I will be catching up on credits, taking three AP classes while managing my time with newspaper and all its newcomers. I’m so excited to teach everybody coming in how newspaper really works with production week and how online updates work. I can’t wait for next year and hope that it’ll be a great year to remember.

I will be focused on college and scholarship applications next year, but that won’t stop me from putting my best foot forward in advanced journalism next year. This summer I plan on attending as many local art and music shows from local up and coming artists. I can’t wait to bring you some great articles next year.
