Why Bernie Sanders and Global Warming are Wrong

One of the biggest debates throughout the world right now is the controversial topic of global warming. Politicians, celebrities and civilians are debating this hot topic more than ever before. In fact, back in late November countries from around the world gathered in Paris, France for the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference. Despite this frenzy and urge for change to improve our climate, I think that global warming is one of the biggest hoaxes, if not the biggest, in recent memory.

At one of the recent presidential debates, democratic nominee Bernie Sanders stated that “Global change is directly related to the growth of terrorism.” Personally, I think this is one of the most idiotic things ever said by a political figure. First of all, climate change has no relation to terrorism. In fact, President Obama stated back in May 2015, “Understand, climate change did not cause the conflicts we see around the world.” Secondly, two years ago most of North America faced the coldest and snowiest winters in the past 130 years. If global warming was such a threat to mankind and a direct reason why terrorism has been growing, then why did we just have such a terrible winter? Come on Bernie, please fact check these things.

A memorable moment from the popular animated TV show "Family Guy" was when Lois ran for town mayor. Something she said is much like what Bernie Sanders does frequently. During the episode of Family Guy, Lois shouts random political events to get the audience to rally around her. When someone asked Lois any question she responded with “9/11.” This is a strikingly similarity to Bernie Sanders. He shouts and screams to get his point across. He could shout something about Planned Parenthood or border security and relate it to terrorism just to get a thunderous applause from the audience. People need to realize that politicians are trying to sway you into voting for them and they will say ridiculous stuff just for applause much like Bernie Sanders keeps doing with free college, and what I'm specifically talking about here with global warming.

So you’re probably wondering why I don't think global warming is real. First, it’s called the weather. The weather changes due to seasons and weather patterns, not because the atmosphere is being destroyed by gases from cars or factories. Sure, gasses could damage the ozone layer but not drastically enough to where the Earth is heating up at alarming rates. Every year is something different with the Earth’s weather it may be colder due to changes in the jet stream or it may be warmer because of El Nino. In addition, scientists claimed 2014 was the warmest year on record when this is actually a false statement. 2014 was actually the highest recorded snowfall in modern times along with the highest amounts of ice around the world and in Antarctica. It’s time to stop blaming and time to start realizing global warming is fake and only a natural Earth weather pattern.

BATMAN

SUPERMAN

You don’t have to be born super to be super. Batman, otherwise known as Bruce Wayne, is superior to his rival: Superman (Clark Kent).

I know what many of you are thinking, “Batman is just a mere human, and how can he possibly overcome Superman?” There are many reasons why The Dark Knight himself will come out victorious. Bruce Wayne is not your average man. He is a billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, and owns his own enterprise. With his funds, Batman can successfully create any weapons and technology that he needs to protect Gotham City. This also shows that he works for everything he has and owns, rather than Superman, who was born with the means to be a “hero”.

Both men experienced tragedy at a young age, Batman’s parents were murdered when he was a child, and it fueled his drive behind becoming a superhero and fighting for justice, while Superman was sent down from his original planet to Earth by his scientist father. Superman was found and raised by a Kansas farmer and his wife. Batman was primarily raised by his butler, Alfred. This shows that Batman has grown up with a passion to become a hero, he has the drive that Superman does not because he was grew up with an absence of parents in his life, while Clark Kent had the nurturing of parents, even if they were not his own.

Batman relies on many abilities and talents in order to be a superhero. These include: a genius intellect, top physical prowess, unmatched martial arts training, a large amount wealth, cutting-edge technology, and a intimidating presence. All Superman has is his super speed, super strength, vision powers, and very powerful breath. Not only does Batman have more abilities than Superman, but his are self-taught and unlike Superman, Batman has no natural weakness (Superman’s is kryptonite).

Therefore, Superman is absolutely batty if he believes he can take down Batman. Batman has the funds, motivation, and even a sidekick, Robin. Plus, what does Batman have to lose? It’s not like he has Lois Lane hanging around. Good luck, Superman.

Personally, Batman is cool himself, although there's more than enough reasons why Superman is going to beat Batman to a pulp.

For one, Batman is human, Superman's Kryptonian. Yes, he’s alien, but he was raised on Earth, making him the ultimate protector of the planet. Batman just protects Gotham; you’d think that he’d have his city in better shape. Superman is solely based in Metropolis but is intergalactic due to his capability to survive in space.

But getting away from the heroes’ domains, Superman has more advantages when it comes to fighting Batman. He has the obvious super strength, the heat vision, flight, and bulletproof skin. Batman is basically just a rich guy that has a lot of tech. Yes, he had the sad event of his parents dying, but all people go through loss. Does that mean everybody should do what he did? No. Superman has powers that allow him to have the rights to protect the planet.

Superman is bulletproof, leaving him impermeable to anything that Batman can launch at him. Superman is also innocent to any of the horrors that Batman has been through, although this doesn't take away any of his heart when it comes to saving people. Superman always takes to heart the loss of all those affected by him. He tries desperately to save all that he can and that’s why he’s going to stand for what he believes in against Batman.

I believe that he’ll win against Batman when the time comes.
